StarCraft

The game I've always had installed since release, own multiple copies due to lost cd keys. Now StarCraft 2 is delayed into 2010. I still play SC online and LAN with some friends. Many operating systems have come and gone since its release, and the latest (and greatest in my opinion) release of Windows 7 is coming up! So, what's the deal? What does this have to do with StarCraft? Well... when running StarCraft on Windows 7, it looks like someone grabbed a bit much LSD. The colors are so screwed up, but there's a fix for it. It's pretty hackish, and even works on other games like Worms. You turn off Explorer. Here's how:

Open up notepad paste this into it, edit the location of StarCraft ala C:\"Program Files"\Starcraft\Starcraft.exe

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
C:\Games\Starcraft\Starcraft.exe
start explorer.exe

Go to save, select All File Types and make sure the filename ends with .bat! Now when you exit the game, explorer starts up again.

Ooh La La

I am running multiple operating systems on my machine, when doing work, I prefer Ubuntu. This is pretty much my standard desktop for it. I would love to buy a laptop, so I can take my work with me to meetings. I don't know about you, but I find it rather discomforting to use someone else's PC. Anyway, here it is!
